May brings over 15 years of experience overseeing major projects and managing P&Ls for iconic brands like Ralph Lauren as well as various startups. Her expertise in design, product development, and budget management provides the framework for keeping your project on track and on-vision. She holds a B.S. in Economics from Fordham University.
Peter has practiced law for over a decade at several elite law firms and real estate companies, where he negotiated hundreds of multi-million dollar deals on behalf of some of the country's largest real estate developers. His legal and financial acumen provides guidance in navigating contracts, financing, and risk. He holds a B.S. from the University at Buffalo and a J.D. from NYU.
Together, we've channeled our professional skills and hands-on experience into a system that works. We don’t just teach this; we actively buy, build, and invest in real estate, ensuring our advice is always grounded, current, and honest.
From a Dream to a Blueprint
In 2018, we set out to build the modern home of our dreams. With backgrounds in tech and law, not construction, we were outsiders. Yet we successfully designed, financed, and managed our own complex steel-and-concrete home from the ground up.
The result? We completed the project for nearly $1 million less than the lowest contractor bid and it appraised for almost double our total cost. We achieved this during the pandemic, when material costs and labor shortages were at an all-time high.
This journey taught us a critical lesson: with the right framework, anyone can take command of their build. You don’t need an endless budget or an industry background to create a high-quality, high-equity home.
That success became the foundation for our client advisory firm, MAOR (Modern Architecture Owner Representation), where we guide clients through complex residential builds across the country. It’s also why we created Building Blueprint: to share the proven system that empowers you to build with confidence.

MAOR was founded to guide clients through the complexities of high-end builds. We quickly found ourselves in high demand, but a clear pattern emerged: we were being pulled into projects at the very beginning, often before land was purchased or an architect was hired.
These potential homebuilders came to us with foundational questions, seeking a strategic partner to help them assess feasibility and avoid critical early-stage mistakes. We realized a hard truth: we simply didn't have the bandwidth to give every aspiring builder the dedicated, one-on-one time they deserved.
